Novi Paid On-Call Firefighters
Welcome to the ANFF (Association of Novi Fire Fighters) website.  This site has been created and funded by the ANFF to provide information regarding who we are, what we do, and how to contact us.

The City of Novi utilizes a cost effective - dual emergency response system - consisting of full-time career firefighters and Paid-On Call (POC) members.  This system ensures that your hard earned tax dollars are spent wisely by providing the necessary resources when and where they are required.  The ANFF is the organization representing the Novi POC Fire Fighters and presides under the auspices of the larger organization MAFF (Michigan Association of Firefighters).

When the department’s career members go home for the day, scheduled POC sleepover crews take over and assume the roll of first response teams available for immediate emergency dispatch.  All other POC personnel respond from their homes.  This takes place every evening and weekend operating silently in the background - except during times of emergency - to provide essential emergency services.

Our members come to the department from a variety of backgrounds.  Combined with mandatory qualifications required by the department, each individual member brings along a valuable wealth of life experience.  We are Builders, Electricians, Company Executives, Administrators, Mechanics, Computer Programmers, IT Specialists, Engineers, Physician Assistants, Designers, Real Estate Representatives, Business Owners, Social Work Administrators, Carpenters, Animal Handlers, Professional Drivers, Construction Managers, Paramedics, Nurses, Emergency Medical Technicians, and Dispatch Supervisors to name just a few.

As all POC members reside within the city of Novi, our membership has a vested interest in you and this community at large.  You may know one of us personally, and we may even live right next door to you.

We are proud to be an integral part of the Novi community and we are dedicated to serving you when you need us most.
